Terms

Our agreement with the people who help ASHIKA Group. Please read it before you join. The Japanese version is the official one.

Article 1. Purpose

  1. These terms set out the agreement between ASHIKA Group (“we”) and the people who help with our activities (“members”).
  2. By joining as a member, you agree to these terms.

Article 2. Nature of the work

  1. Members are volunteers. No employment, service or work contract arises between us and members.
  2. We do not pay members. The perks in Articles 4 and 5 support your work and are not payment.
  3. There is no required amount of time and no quota.

Article 3. Joining

  1. You must be 13 or older to join.
  2. When you apply, give your correct legal name, address and phone number. We use them only to confirm who you are and to contact you. Please tell us promptly if they change.
  3. Joining requires an application and our confirmation. We may decline an application without giving a reason.
  4. If you are under 18, please apply with the consent of a parent or guardian.
  5. We may cancel a membership if the application contained false information.

Article 4. Perk servers

  1. While you are a member, you may use up to 5 ASHIKA Network servers at a time without a monthly fee. We decide the plans and specs based on your work.
  2. ASHIKA Network's terms of service and acceptable use policy also apply to perk servers.
  3. You may not transfer, lend or sell perk servers to anyone.
  4. When your membership ends, please switch to paid use or move your data within 30 days. After that, the servers are stopped and their data is deleted.
  5. We may change or end the perks. If we do, we will tell members as early as we can.

Article 5. Work email address

  1. We give members an email address for their work.
  2. Use it only for ASHIKA Group activities: not for personal sign-ups, commercial purposes, or speaking in our name without permission.
  3. We manage the address and its data. We may look at its contents when required by law or to investigate a problem.
  4. Do not share your password, and turn on two-factor authentication.
  5. The address is disabled when your membership ends.

Article 6. Confidentiality and personal data

  1. Do not disclose customer information or our internal information that you learn through your work, or use it for anything else.
  2. Handle customers' personal data in line with our privacy policy.
  3. These obligations continue after your membership ends.

Article 7. Working with customers

  1. Treat customers politely and in line with our policies.
  2. Do not promise refunds, compensation or anything else that needs our approval yourself; hand it over to the team.
  3. Use any admin access we give you only as far as your work needs it, and never share it.

Article 8. Your work

  1. Rights in the code and writing you create for your work stay with you.
  2. You grant us a free, perpetual right to use and modify them for our services.
  3. Contributions to open-source repositories follow the license of that repository.

Article 9. Prohibited conduct

  1. Breaking the law or public order
  2. Causing trouble for customers, other members or third parties
  3. Using the access or email address you were given for other purposes
  4. Speaking publicly in our name without permission
  5. Anything else we reasonably consider inappropriate

Article 10. Disclaimer

  1. We are not liable for any damage you suffer while helping, except in cases of intent or gross negligence on our part.
  2. We do not guarantee that perk servers or email addresses will stay up or that data will not be lost.
  3. If you breach these terms and cause damage to us or our customers, you may be responsible for that damage.

Article 11. Ending membership

  1. You may end your membership at any time by telling us.
  2. If you breach these terms, we may end your membership after telling you, or without notice in urgent cases.
  3. When membership ends, your access and email address are disabled. Perk servers follow Article 4.

Article 12. Changes

  1. We may change these terms. We will tell members about important changes in advance.
  2. Members who keep helping after a change agree to the changed terms.

Article 13. Governing law and court

  1. These terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
  2. The Osaka District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance over any dispute about these terms.
