Build and look after the systems behind our services.

  • Maintain and improve ASHIKA Network's servers and customer panel
  • Develop Storia, our Minecraft server software
  • Improve our websites
  • Help investigate and recover from outages
Who we are looking for

Some experience with Linux, Docker, TypeScript, Python or Java. Something you built and ran yourself, however small, is a big plus.

Up to 5 servers for free

While you help, you can run up to 5 ASHIKA Network servers at a time without a monthly fee. We agree on the plans together, based on what you work on.

    An email address for talking with customers and others on behalf of ASHIKA Group.

  • Real-world experience

    Work on the development, operation and support of services with real customers.

  • Your own pace, no quotas

    Fit it around school or work. Help when you can, as much as you can.

    A short call on Discord about what you can do and what you would like to do (about 30 minutes).

    We set up your access, email address and servers, and you get started.

How to apply

Who can applyAge 13 or older

Use the subject “Joining ASHIKA Group” and include the following. We cannot accept applications that are missing a required item.

  • Your full legal nameRequired

  • What you can do and your experience (links to things you made, if any)

We use your legal name, address and phone number only to confirm who you are and to contact you. We never publish them or use them for anything else.

FAQ

Is this paid?

No. Helping is volunteer work, not employment or a contract. The servers and email address are perks that support your work.

How much time do I need to give?

There is no minimum and no quota. Help at a pace you can keep up.

How old do I need to be?

You must be 13 or older. If you are under 18, please apply with the consent of a parent or guardian.

Why do you need my real name, address and phone number?

Helpers may handle customer information and admin access. We use these details only to confirm who you are and to reach you if needed, and we never publish them.

Do I need experience?

Not for support, as long as you communicate politely. For engineering, people who want to learn along the way are welcome too.

What kind of servers do I get?

Up to 5 at a time, with no monthly fee. We agree on the specs and plans based on what you work on.

What if I want to stop?

You can stop at any time. What happens to your servers afterwards is in Article 4 of the member terms.

  • The perk servers come with no guarantee of uptime or data retention. Please keep your own backups of anything important.
  • ASHIKA Group is not liable for any damage that occurs while you help, except in cases of intent or gross negligence on our part.
